F102 :: Fitting Models to Experimental Data :: 1 day
The goal of this workshop is to help you to confidently decide which design, analysis and modelling techniques to apply in your day-to-day work in order to better understand and compare your assays and methods. This is a practical workshop to help guide you through the choice of model and subsequently a design and analysis suited to your method or assay. You will learn by experience; practicing and mastering the design and modelling of relevant assays throughout the day. This will help you to present your information effectively and concisely to facilitate peer-analysis or review, either prior to or after collecting more data.
Topics Covered
- Fitting Straight Lines to analyse standard curve data
- Fitting Curves to association and dissociation kinetic data for example
- Fitting Nonlinear Models to saturation and competition data for example
- Fitting Models to compare groups, treatments, operators etc.
